Ken's Story
I am a Proud Dad of two wonderful kids;dreamed of having when I was young . My kids are my savoir in life, wouldn't be here if wasn't for them.had to fight through a lot to stay alive and see another smile on my childrens faces. i have overcome that and have beaten some tuff odds. it's just made me stronger and have the will too want to live.
Had a kidney transplant 18 years ago this November and still working but need dyalisis to help function. dec. 13 of 07 had to have open heart surgery - a tumor was found in my right ventricle. i put up a picture of my tumor. i'm still having problems with my right lung filling up sometimes with fluid but the heart is ok. with my kidney failing they said my heart has increased in size to work harder to pump the bad blood through. it looks like a baby if you really look at it.
Blessed to have a survived my gift of life and cherish watching my kids grow into young handsome, beautiful, understanding adults . Hope to be around for another 18 years to watch their future.
Always told the kids ; live your life as a kid because you live the rest of your life as an adult. And it sucks!!!!
Am proud to say my Brother served in Iraq and recieved the bronze star. seen many awful days and had his close friend killed . he made it home alive but is wounded with deep scars that will never heal. ...Expand for more

PLEASE, Don't forget to ; Thank A Soldier :]
I'LL NEVER FORGET THE TIME AT STONE SCHOOL . IN SIXTH GRADE WE PLAYED FLOOR HOCKEY AND MR. BUTTERFIELD WAS OUR COACH AND TEACHER. CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT TEAM IT WAS BUT WE WENT INTO 3 OVERTIMES. I PLAYED CENTER AND I THINK THERE WAS A TIME OUT CALLED AND MR B. QUICKLY HAD US SETUP A PLAY. IT WAS OUR PUCK AND I HAD TOO FIND SCOTT WINCHESTER[BLESS HIS SOUL] THE WHISTLE BLEW AND AS QUICK AS I COULD PASSED IT TO SCOTT AND IT WAS IN THE NET BEFORE THEY KNEW IT. WHAT THRILL, WE WENT 9-0 THAT YEAR BEATING THE TEAMS RECORD 8-1 FROM STONE SCHOOL. OUR TEAM DID PLAY THE TEAM FROM THE YEAR BEFORE AND I SCORED OUR TEAMS GOAL AND SCOTT FINHOUR[CAN'T REMEMBER HOW TO SPELL HIS LAST NAME] SCORED THEIR GOAL. DANNY FINHOUR WAS THE OTHER TEAMS GOALIE WHO JUST STAYED ON HIS KNEES AND DIDN'T MOVE. OUR TEAM PEPPERED HIM BUT HE WAS A BIG BOY. THAT IS ONE OF MY FONDEST MEMORIES. AND TO ANYONE THAT READS THIS THAT PLAYED ON EITHER TEAM WILL REMEMBER HOW COOL WE WERE AT HOME GYM PLAYING THE SAGINAW GEARS THEME. WE JUST COULDN'T JUMP OVER THE TABLES . WE TRIED. ALSO THAT YEAR WAS THE YEAR OUR TEAM NAMED THE SCHOOL " STONE SCHOOL STINGERS" I WONDER IF THEY STILL HAVE OUR TEAM PICTURE UP. DOES ANYONE KNOW?
